Whew! I made it! That was a close one! I was attempting valiantly to get this post done before midnight. It is Cookie Friday after all!

Luckily I planned ahead and bought the ingredients two days ago or these cookies would have never happened! I tried the recipe for Soft Gingersnap Cookies with White Chocolate Chunks from Two Peas & Their Pod. I was curious about the white chocolate/gingersnap combo, but the cookies turned out splendidly! I just bought a bar of white chocolate and “chunked” it up, but I probably should’ve gone with two bars. They smelled like pumpkin pie while I was making them, and they turned out perfectly and soft as can be after exactly 10 minutes of baking time. I tend to err on the side of doughy rather than crispy, but these were just right!

Boyd found himself a new toy while we were prepping for yard sale round #2 (which was a SMASHING success, by the way). He loved chasing it around the living room. Corrie Anne loved chucking it at him. It really helped me get some of my aggression towards him out. It’s like playing dodgeball with someone who has no hands! Hehe!

Boyd, of course, wasted no time destroying it. Just like he destroys my good mood on a daily basis with his horrible behavior. So take that Boyd fangirls! And look at that tongue!

That’s all for today. What a week! We’ll be running the garage sale again tomorrow, but at least I will have Kevin James around to lug 50-lb carpets to the cars of little old ladies who then decide that it won’t FIT in their car.
