Turning 27

I started off the day with a chocolate-covered strawberry immediately followed by a 10k run. I did that little trick where I wheedle a few more miles out of runny buddies after I have them out on the streets. We had an almost 9-minute pace, but I get kudos anyways for running on my birthday, right? :)

My mom posted some old scanned photos on my Facebook wall for my birthday including this one off me running a race in her old college track uniform circa 1995. I asked her if she still has it! I want to wear that gorgeous gold & burgundy again someday! And if you can tell by my blurry little face, I’ve always been the annoying perky runner type.  I sure hope I beat that girl in front of me. I bet I did. I’ve always been an endurance machine.

FREE DONUTS!!! Haha. You should have seen Kevin’s little eyes light up. We walked into the community area so I can have a little gulp of coffee and it turns out it was free donut Saturday! I love this place. I didn’t have one myself, but I had a few nibbles of Kevin’s chocolate long john.

We were planning to go to Starbucks for coffee & breakfast, but it was almost 11:30 by the time we cleaned up, and we were famished! So we ened up going straight to Qdoba. I had a free birthday coupon, but Kevin accidentally printed off the wrong page! That just means I get to go again this month! Woohoo!

I had the Naked Taco Salad again, but also splurged on chips & guacamole! Total guacamole heaven!!!!!! While we were there, we saw tons of interesting people in the restaurant. They were wearing outlandish costumes and carrying weird props. Kevin and I tried to guess what they were doing. We also saw them walking all over the DTC area so we think there was some kind of convention. I guessed they were steampunk. Trust me I only know what that is because I read about a wedding themed around it on one of my favorite wedding blogs. I have a staring problem so I was thankful I was seated with my back to the majority of them.

But you know the real reason we were there! Coca-Cola freestyle!!!! We made sure we sat close to the machine so I could have refills!

My combos included Diet Coke with Lemon, Diet Coke with Raspberry, and Sprite Zero Peach! Yum!!!!!

I now have exactly have 15 minutes to get ready for church so I’m going to have to leave this To Be Continued…. :)

I really do. It’s the worst when I think I see an extremely little person. It’s almost always turns out to be a child. I have terrible vision and a rampant imagination. Lol.
