2 years ago today…

2009 was our first Thanksgiving together! You can tell we hadn’t been dating very long because is that an OLD NAVY T-SHIRT you’re wearing?!
It was the first time I threw a Thanksgiving dinner with my roommates (the 4′s were a little ice breaker where you had to write what you were thankful for… we later hung them up on the Thanksgiving tree. So cuuute!).
In the Dominican Republic, there’s no rule against wearing white after Labor Day.
More importantly…
It was the first day you ever told me you loved me. OOOOOOOOOO!!!
Your heart was beating so fast! You’re so sweet.
Last year…
You proved yourself to be the Best Boyfriend Ever by getting up super early and dealing with the turkey.
And you had a big secret burning a hole in your pocket…
Bling-bling!
You led with the Garmin…
And then slipped on the ring – dramatic replay
We announced our engagement through a cute little vimeo (featured on Glamour’s Save the Date blog) and spent the rest of the weekend playing with the Garmin basking in our newly-engagedness.
And yes. We really did start the turkey on fire.
This year we’re freezing, but we’re excited to be with family.
What surprises do you think Kevin has in store for me this year? Sorry, it’s NOT a baby!!!!!
Check out the other Marriage Diary posts! And have an amazing Thanksgiving!!
P.S. I REALLY MISS YOU GUYS!! I can’t believe I’m only cooking for 8 today. I don’t know how to control myself!
I especially miss making Yo-Yo eat “gross American food.” (And that awesome tall glass I had!)
Our crazy firstborn son! Who’s all grown up! *Sniff sniff*
And all the other turkeys! Hope you aren’t stuck eating something gross like sancocho without me there to cook!!
