What a crazy packed Sunday!
Kevin’s newest MBA class seems to have a bit of a lighter workload so he was able to finish his homework on Saturday! Hooray!! We spent this afternoon checking out the Denver Chalk Art Festival. So cool!! But it was so crowded!!
The Scrabble board was my fave!
We can do it!
Earlier…
This Sunday was designated by our church as Service Sunday, a day set aside to show Christ’s love in a practical way by serving the community. Our church collaborated with Extreme Community Makeover to do various work projects in the Barnum neighborhood.
Check out that ruggedly handsome man!! Kevin did some pretty intense painting of the eaves while I was doing some prissy painting on the gables.
The lady we helped out was a spunky 80-year-old. She has a great-grandson who’s 20!!!! Isn’t that awesome? She still gets out and does gardening all the time. She said she prefers to be outdoors!! Wow. I was so impressed.
There was also some serious gate repair work done.
Baseball cap couple!!
We were starved by the time we made it home for lunch around 2. A cold sandwich soundedso good! We counted out our portion size of 15 Sun Chips (haha) and enjoyed a salad on the side.
Glad you guys loved the Boyd post… here’s another… angle!
Boyd likes to flounder through the bushes trying to chase bunnies. Why? I have no clue. I think a rabbit could take him!!! Haha.
Hope you had a great weekend – I’m outta here so I can just the last few little itty bit with Kevin!!
When’s the last time you played with chalk? I searched my blog but apparently for us it was at Menchies! But I need some old school on the ground sidewalk chalking!!!
Are you a hat person? Yeah.
Except I still contend they don’t work very well with my monstrous glasses. My forehead feels squished!

That looks amazing! Love the idea of a chalk festival, how perfect:)
That chalk festival looks like so much fun & makes me desire to visit Denver even more now! I play with chalk periodically while making beer signs at work but it’s been quite awhile since I legit drew on the sidewalk! Maybe I need to change that soon.
Oooh chalk sounds like so much fun! And I think that it’s awesome that you are helping improving your community
Babycakes and I colored with sidewalk chalk a week or so ago. She doesn’t have the patience or skill yet to do it very long though! She gets distracted by all the other fun things to do/play with outside!!
What a cool event to go to, looks like an amazing Saturday.
Thats so cool! I’d have been there for sure. Chalk art always blows my mind. They work so hard on it and then it just washes away.
I know!! I got scared because it started to get REALLY cloudy!
The chalk festival looks like such fun! Ralph would have loved that!!
WOW that chalk is sooo cool! I love hats and I love the alternate pic of Boyd! It’s important to see all angles!
