Tonight’s date night spot was serendipitous!!! We were planning to go to some little pizza spot, but upon lurking past we realized it was more of a take-out kinda place. So we walked down a block, and voilà!

I selected boneless chicken wings with the Garlic Buffalo sauce. Garlic and buffalo. That’s a match made in heaven, right? With a side of sweet potato crinkle fries on the side. It was amazing! But I couldn’t finish it!!! I shared some with Kevin and had to leave some fries behind.
We sat off in the little side room, but they also had area with stools as well as a patio. I love a restuarant where it isn’t crowded. Or loud. I’m so. old.
They have a chalkboard in the BATHROOM. That’s brave, right? What would YOU write??
He he. Kevin got BBQ fingers!! I liked his Diet Coke drinking technique. We stayed afterwards for a bit to discuss some of our housing plans.
And thenI got an email…
We went to go see my new free Craiglist piano!! I was nervous about testing it out because I can tell if a piano is in tune/good condition, but if it was really bad I wasn’t sure if I would be able to determine if it was fixable. Thankfully, the piano was clearly in good condition. A little out of tune, but totally manageable. Especially for being such an old piano. The owner was a super sweet lady who told me a long story about accordions and monkeys. She’s really happy to give the piano a new home now that her son is off to college. She told us the piano came to her painted half white so she covered it up by painting it with a green “distressed” look.
We’re arranging movers, and it’s mine!! Hooray!!!!!! I really perked up after that.
The piano was outside of town a little bit so we had a long 30 mile drive back to our apartment. Had to stock up with some Diet Cokes & dark chocolate.

Today’s WOD was packing. I spent a solid 3 hours hard at work during my beloved half-day.
Aren’t hanger boxes cool? We saved them from our last move when we had the luxury of professional movers packing up our house (on Kevin’s office’s dime). Can you tell from this box who totally hogs the closet???
Have you ever owned a musical instrument? This is my first of probably many pianos. Ending with a Steinway someday.

Perfect piano to use your painted piano ideas on! What a great find. I almost got a free Craigslist piano, but my husband said I had to play seriously for a year before he would break his back moving a piano for me. Rude, right!? But then my piano teacher moved two weeks later, and I’ve been too lazy ever since to find one
And I almost cried when you wrote that you left behind sweet potato fries. Those things are the best!

I’d love to own a piano someday. We always had one growing up and I took lessons for years… but haven’t touched on in about a decade. 
I’ve never seen a hanger box before! We usually just throw all of our clothes in the backseat of a car!

Yay for a piano! My great aunt just offered her family piano to me last week. We still live in a rental property, so I told her to ask me once we buy a house. Also, now I am sad we don’t live in Denver and can’t go to Fire on the Mountain. It looks tasty!

That is a gorgeous piano! I’ve never owned anything bigger than a guitar (that I failed to learn to play). It looks like it will be fin to refinish, too!
I work in a new building that opened in May–it has chalkboards in the bathroom. They always make me think, “Hmmm…do I have anything clever to write?” and I can’t think of anything. So far no one has gone crazy with them!

The tasting bar is adorable. I would Love to have those hanging boxes…what a great idea. I just really need to weed out my clothes before our move. I’ve been working on it!!
