Here’s Boyd before I wanted to wring his neck:
Can you spot that little twerp??? He likes to put his head underneath covers and his chocolate brown color blends in with our sheets!!! Don’t worry. That comforter was ruined long before I met the dynamic duo of Kevin & Boyd!
I got most of the big household chores done yesterday so I allotted myself some time to play my own piano today!! Yay!! It’s a little frustrating that I can’t play as well as I did in high school, but it comes back quickly!! My fingers just feel a little out of shape!! The good news is that through teaching general music for three years, I became a much better sight reader!
Boyd, of course, decided to join me and curled up by my feet while I practiced. Now I just need a Vizsla for the other side. I really want to adopt one ASAP, but I keep coming up with all male dogs. I need a girl to even things out a little bit around here!!!! Plus I want to dress her up. Don’t think I won’t do it!!!
I was lame and decided to go for a run around 11AM without any water. I haven’t been really excited about running without a treadmill, gym, or a Vizsla!! I guess a need a running buddy. Any takers?!?!!! These past two weeks have been some of my lowest mileage weeks ever. I was thinking about that today, and I know I’ve fallen behind on my 2012 goal . I don’t even want to calculate how far until I make some progress!! I’m thinking a few a 2-a-days are in order especially while I’m home during the day!
Ever since I started reading minutes per mile, I feel compelled to snap a picture every time I see random furniture by the street. It was a rare occurrence in hoity-toity Greenwood Village, but I’m guessing I’ll have more luck in these parts!!
I stopped at home to take the Boykin on a little .44 mile loop. As you can see, it really took it out of him. And we discovered there are some really vicious barkers in our alley!!!
I went through this Target brand Pineapple Peach salsa in about 3 days. I know it was only me because Kevin doesn’t like sweet salsas. I usually won’t buy them if they have a high sugar content, but I think this one was only 2 grams.
I was thinking today that Kevin and I go through salsa like bloggers go through nut butter. What could we do with empty jars? What could our equivalent of overnight oats be?
I totally wasn’t in the mood to have black bean quinoa again, but I was an adult and was responsible with my leftovers. I can’t believe I eat onions and foods mixed together now. Weird.
I found an orange in the fridge! I think it was a leftover from my family’s visit. I Googled “how to cut an orange cute.” My wedges were not succesful, but I still liked it better than the traditional peel way.
And here’s why Boyd is EXTRA dead to me:
Do you see that little clump on the floor? That used to be an entire loaf of homemade bread!!!!! And I used the GOOD FLOUR!! That dirty Boykin snagged it from my countertop!!! I had no idea he had the nerve to do that!! He’s never done anything like it before. And it wasn’t a good precedent for him to set during the second week in our new house. I’ll have to be on guard now!! And I just want to say that he had zero remorse when we were scolding him. You could just see him saying,”It was totally worth it.” I don’t even know how he choked it down so fast. It was a big loaf! And still piping hot!!!!!
Has your pet ever stolen anything big like a loaf of bread? My brother, Josiah has a Husky, and he once stole a whole roast from the kitchen table!!!! Bad dogs!!!! Other things Boyd ate today? A paper tag he found in a book on the bookshelf and random foilage from the back yard.
What’s your favorite kind of salsa? I think I actually like fresh pico de gallo the best, but I like sweet & spicy ones too. I’d like a salsa bar! I need to find a restaurant that has that! We’d be in heaven.
P.S. Finished up the Facebook page for Sunnyside Piano Studio if you’re inclined to like it! Full website coming tomorrow (probably!).
