This morning was rough. We were out of hot sauce! What are my typical fried eggs without hot sauce?
In light of this misfortune, I decided to mix things up a little bit.
I microwaved a small sweet potato and mixed it with fried egg, green onions, various peppers. I also fried up some turkey bacon which I was going to use, but then it just didn’t sound good so I put it in the fridge for a sandwich/salad later.
Boyd telling us — “YOU NEED TO GET A COUCH!!!” Lol. We a futon, but it’s currently in one of the empty bedrooms. Where it will probably stay. Nobody ever needs to see that. Haha.
Boyd and I got woken up by a kitty-cat yammering in our yard at about 5:30 this morning. For some reason, I couldn’t fall asleep so I got an early start to the gym.
FYI: kettlebell thrusters, kettlebell overhead lunges.
I am so proud that I used a 20lb kettlebell for the entire workout!! It was tough because there was a lot of holding it above my head in the locked position. You’d think this workout would get easier as you went down the ladder, but even the 3-2-1 are hard because you get very aerobic switching between the exercises. I love mixing cardio with weights!! No wasting time in the gym!!! I finished in 29:35. I set the kettlebell down every single time until 3 reps between lunges and thrusters. 20lbs is heavy!!
Okay, so then I wanted to see some Olympics so this happened:
I climbed the Empire State Building while watching men’s volleyball. Haha. Stairs always make me the MOST sweaty!!
When I got home from the gym, I realized I needed to do some chores. Gotta earn my running shoes!
I mowed the lawn. It took me less than 20 minutes. The backyard was really fast, but the front was pretty long so it took a little muscle.
Look what I found in our yard — this isn’t even Instagrammed!!!!
That is dead! Plus it was ugly before it was dead. That thing needs to go!! It’s lucky I don’t know where Kevin keeps his saws.
I guess we almost inherited this gem. I think we’re about thirty years too young for it. I should take it and stick it in someone’s yard as a prank. Haha.
Does Boyd enjoy the outdoor playtime while I mow? No way. He sits by the side door and waits to get back in the a/c. What a little pansy!!!!
I forced myself to eat a big bowl of broccoli slaw for lunch. I figured it was only fair since I sent a bunch with Kevin for his work lunch.
I tried out some of my new Strawberry Basil vinegar. It was pretty good. I also had a leftover burger from Grilling Monday, but it’s too ugly to show.
I’m going to do some baking this afternoon!! I have a few adventurous ideas up my sleeve so we’ll see what happens.
Do you have any little ornaments or things in your yard? We have a little like stone bird thing that I actually like that was given to me as a going-away gift from my co-workers. There’s also some bird house up in our front porch?? I have to get like a baseball to throw at that to knock it down. I don’t think birds live there!! I didn’t mean that to sound violent. It’s just decorative.
Do you do yard work/garden? Not really. I’m a little nervous about Kevin J inspecting my mowing. I have a hard time seeing where I’ve mowed. Lol.

Hahaha!!! You with a saw. I would pay to watch!!!!!! I have a few softballs….you might actually hit the bird house if you used one of those! Lol
My mom loves random backyard ornaments and her current favorite is an LED butterfly that glows and changes colors all night (assuming there was enough energy stored in it from a sunny day!). It’s lovely
Running out of hot sauce would be tragic! I keep so many different varieties it’s a little embarrassing… but I adore the mix of peanut flour and red pepper flakes in a pinch.
Hello!
I sort of liked the Hummingbird lawn ornament actually

The horror of not hot sauce! We actually keep a bottle of Sriracha on reserve in the pantry at ALL TIMES.
I tend to murder plants as well… just go find a shovel and dig that poor dead tree up!
Ugh unfortunately I kill every plant I touch. Otherwise I would love gardening! I really want to get some flowers for my porch dangit!
You can send me unwanted lawn ornaments and ill drop them on a sidewalk in dc!!
Love seeing your workouts! Those 20lb kettlebells are no joke! Looks like a killer WOD!
No hot sauce?!?! I don’t know that I’d survive. lol.
