We made quite the Target trip today and found some cute little lights for our patio. $12.99! I’m fine with the fact that I procrastinated on ordering the ones from Pottery Barn. We have another string that might make their way on to the back patio.
While Kevin was doing manly work around the house/yard, I decided to take Pippa Cordelia for another run. She was getting a little feisty and was not pleased with the noises coming from a guy working on his house next door. I thought a run might calm her down.
I tried the gentle leader on her this time. It worked so well!! Hooray! The only thing it did not help with was Pippa running across me and almost tripping me. That only happened three times. And I was only in real danger twice. Haha.
A personal distance record for Pippa – 3.6 miles!
One of our favorite dinners — black bean quinoa taco salad bowls. Even better tonight because we had a beautifully-ripened avocado!
Love my family!!!! I adore the way Pippa crosses her paws! She is so dainty and ladylike. The opposite of Boyd in every way. Their personalities are so hilarious!!! Good thing since they have been a lot of work this week. MY dear Pippa is still on a baby’s schedule so it’s really cutting into my sleep time!!!
Pippa sitting as close to me as possible. She always scoots into the smallest nook she can in order for more cuddles. She’s a lover not a biter!
Pippa & Boyd on the other hand?
That’s about as close as they care to get to each other voluntarily. They’re in the co-exist stage.
Love those little nerds!!!!
What’s your front porch like? Feel free to visit mine sometime. I’ll even make lemonade!
Do your pets and/or children get along? Hard to say so far!!!

Your porch is so cute!!! And so are your doggies.
omgosh I love your front porch! It’s something I’d want if I ever buy a house. And my parent’s dog sits like Pippa … except he’s not a girl. haha We always make fun of how dainty he is. Loving these stories!!
that is my favorite part of having two dogs…seeing how different their personalities are. I hope we get a Pippa post for 23paws this week?!?!
Your dogs are so adorable!!! Love that you noted Pippa’s PDR haha that was a nice touch. Did you ever post a recipe for the taco bowl? it looks delicious
Your little house is so cute
Pippa looks so happy in her new home!
Your porch looks so cute!
I love your front porch! That awning/roof/whatever looks really cool, especially with the lights!
Enjoy your velcro dog! When we first got our cat he would velcro to me and hate on Chris…he still loves me more but at least he stopped avoiding Chris, there may be hope for Boyd! {as I compare my cat and husband to your dogs…I’m just that loving!}
So glad Pippa is settling in. We are still gentle leader training with Griz. Our two dogs sleep side by side. Sometimes the smaller one rests her head on the bigger dog. I’m excited because our sunflowers are just about to pop around our porch. Just in time for the first frost here in Wyoming!
So so so cute!! Love your front porch too.
Sounds like Pippa is adjusting well!
Aww Pippa is so precious! I love all the shots with her!
Oh my, the photos of you and Miss Pippa together are so adorable. What love!
Your house looks so adorable with those lights. My husband and I saw them at Target and couldn’t decide on whether or not to get them. I think we might get some now – so cute
Awww! Our dogs tend to keep their distance. It’s very rare for them to share a dog bed or be on the people bed at the same time. Sometimes I hear a little growl come out of another room – it’s usually Kostas telling Tucker to get away from his food bowl.
So cute! I love the front porch shot!
Your little “family” is so cute! So happy the puppy is doing well and that you have a new running buddy
ahhh, i’m sure they’ll settle in together soon! they are both too cute not to.
My dream is to someday have a front porch! I love the lights you guys put up. So cute!
You should update your “about me” to say you own a vivacious Visla and a boring Boykin!!!
Awwwwwwwa!! Poor Boyd! Have you seen his ears? They’re so fluffy! And he can balance bacon on his nose!!!
