I know I shouldn’t let them do this, but I did… Don’t tell any of my piano students!
I saw a YouTube video of a cat playing the piano the other day, and I got jealous! I can’t believe we got this one on the first try!
Never try this at home. My piano is quite robust!
I tried my first siggi’s this morning. In the car. Running late to church. Blame the blur on Kevin.
He was just thinking about this:
I think Kevin was secretly happy I didn’t wake up in time to make breakfast this morning — that meant church donuts for him!!!
For some reason I got it into my head that I should do a long run today though I haven’t run much over a 5k in a few months! I’m all of a sudden DYING to run a half marathon. Just when all the good one passed for the fall. Figures.
I didn’t know it was going to turn off after an hour! Boo! I forgot you had to set it at the beginning to make it go longer. Oops! I ran another quarter after this because I realized my pace was right above 8 minute miles. So in the end I did 8.5 miles @ 8:00 pace + 2.5 miles of cool down and jogging home from the gym .I was going to walk home, but it was taking too long! Yeah, I think I could definitely jump in and run a half marathon! Good job, Fitmixer, GPP, and my own DIY WODs!
I watched Cheaper by the Dozen 2 and some Kardashians while I ran. I’ll reluctantly admit that it didn’t compare to the view from yesterday. But I was safer!! Haha.
37 miles this week! I’ll take it.
I drank a Fitmixer protein shake when I got home. Boot camp has definitely been teaching me to be a little wiser about refueling. I sometimes go for hours without eating… even after a long workout! Just because I get caught up in wanting to do the dishes or get something else done and don’t take the time to eat something. I know real food is better, but the shakes definitely come in handy and are better than nothing!
Dinner #1: Turkey wrap with wholly guacamole!
Dinner #2: Sweet potato fries are back in the house!
My prissy Pippa watching me eat.
A row of this chocolate bar for dessert!
Not pictured: Pirate’s Booty!!
Looking forward to trying my BIRTHDAY COFFEE from Kelly & Lisa in the morning!!!
Buenas noches!!
What’s your favorite chocolate bar? I love ones with espresso/coffee flavors. I also love the endangered species one with the monkey!
How often do you eat chocolate? Not very often, but I’m attempting to reform that with a row a day of this bar!
What kind of coffeemaker do you have? Does anyone have the Verismo? Just curious! Also trying to convince Kevin that I need something like that for my piano students’ parents!
What kind of coffee do you drink at home? A variety! I buy weird discount flavors at Target. I liked the Godiva Chocolate Truffle coffee. And I’m wanting a pumpkin flavor! Plus whatever people give me. And Dominican coffee for a few months whenever I come back from a trip.

ok the dog piano pic is CLASSIC. when i saw it on IG i almost died. i showed kona and she looked ashamed that she cant do that.
for coffee at home, i just brew regular coffee and prefer a starbucks dark roast like espresso, french, or italian roast and then i add a little cinnabon or currently pumpkin spice creamer!
I love (dark) chocolate and coffee- but just bought some decaf to back off the caffeine a bit. I like all kinds- really don’t have a favorite- but I prefer my French Press to make them in!
Pippa is such a lovely little lady.
Did you like your coffee? I thought you had tried it already! I’m out. Need more. I also need chocolate. Haven’t had any. Maybe tomorrow ill make choc pudding. Mmmmm
true fact: i’m sure those poochies are playing better than i ever could! lol.
and please ask kevin to slide one of those donuts my way please.
haha video of them playing please please please. it’s just SO cute! pretty much any dark chocolate more than 80% is my kinda of chocolate and that would be like once every few days.
the piano picture is so so funny!!
Wow! An 8:00 pace is very impressive.
I love all chocolate (duh), but my favorite is dark with sea salt and/or almonds and/or raisins. mhm!
Loved this post and all of your photos.
As always, cute pup pics!
Congrats on the fast miles.
I am a brew-at-home girl. I have a simple Mr. Coffee maker (the 5 cup) and I tend to buy local (to WI) coffee – Stone Creek Coffee and Fiddleheads.
omg piano photo? best ever.
I think you are the only person that makes me crave sweet potato fries at all hours of the day!
That picture is amazing! Obsessed! Milo always crosses his paws, too! Good job on the run
I do watched a little Kardashians yesterday — good times!
Your pups are waay too cute!! I cant wait till mine grows a bit. She still cant jump up on the couch…but its really cute watching her try!
Church sweets always taste better- I don’t blame Kevin for being excited about the breakfast decision…. I eat chocolat EVERYDAY! Mmmm- your coffee decisions sound wonderful!
Have you ever been to The Cup, in Boulder? That’s my husband’s favorite coffee place. In Chicago, our splurge is Intelligentsia. But for everyday drinking, I just buy what our grocery store sells (Vero, I think?).
That is the best picture ever of your dogs on the piano!!!! Love it!
oh, i’m in love with my bialetti. i make a perfect mini espresso daily!
Wow that Godiva chocolate sounds heavenly- is the chocolatey flavor strong? I am loving Davidoff coffee lately. It is instant coffee but the taste is phenomenal, especially iced!
