Last night I went to bed, and I was just regular old Corrie Anne.
But then I woke up this morning to find out that I had become Nike Running celebrity on Facebook!
I was in bed, texting Deidre, and reading my Facebook feed — and then I was like — omg, that’s me!!!!!!! Haha. Unfortunately, my husband was in meetings all day so I wasn’t able to text/email him 500 times about how awesome we are. Can you think of what Hannah went through today? That poor girl. I already have a tendency to kiss my muscles, and now this?!
The picture was taken by an old college friend, Ryan Thompson, who can generally photographs people doing things far more adventurous than I would ever do (I don’t want to injure myself for running!). Anyways, he sold it as stock photography and it ended up on the Nike Running Facebook page, and of course, I subscribe to them! Obviously.
SEE! That shirt I was wearing was, in fact, NIKE! I also felt the need to wear it today when I dragged Hannah out for a run, thinking someone in Denver might recognize me from the photo. RIGHT?!!? After all, I have the same dead ends!!!! Just a few inches longer. Disappointingly, no one seemed to acknowledge my newfound celebrity status.
Oh well, I guess my dogs still love me! Here you can see Pippa doing her crazy jealous moves because I’m cuddling Boyd.
Okay, I’m over myself now. I know I’m not that awesome. Plus I decided it would be unprofessional to show that picture to all of my students today. Haha. Although I think they’d be impressed because I know they think I’m very prim and proper.

I did make a few substituions because my gym was crazy packed, and it was too hard to find a spot for a mat. I was happy with my 31:43 finish.
Another colorful bowl! Do you need a great slow cooker recipe? We loved this one for South American Slow Cooker Pot Roast! However, I did skip out on the radishes. Radishes, yuck!?!?!!!! I’ll take this one step at a time. I wasn’t even eating sweet potatoes last year.

Besides that, Kevin and I were also once featured in Glamour magazine’s Save The Date column — unfortunately it was before I had a blog. I don’t remember those days. Seriously, I have no record of them.

Hmmm… The closest I came to being a celebrity was being on a reality show for a few weeks. A few people have stopped me and asked me if it was me. It was kinda weird. Lol.

Hey, that’s pretty cool! It would be a bit surreal to see myself on a very well known brand’s page.
My own teeny-tiny brush with “celebrity”: when I was 21, I was a hair model for the salon that I worked for and the picture was picked up by several of those hair mags that people use for inspiration. I was part of the before and after spread. What’s funny is that they had to put fake hair extensions on me for the before and they asked me to wear a frumpy shirt and no make up. So, the “after” was quite glamorous! What sucks, though, is that over the past *ahem* 17 years, I’ve misplaced the magazines. Oh well.
That is seriously soooooo exciting! How fun is that?!? No celebrity moments for me . . . . yet! Although, I did play my violin at Orchestra Hall when I was a senior in high school, and I felt like a total celebrity. Playing in that beautiful venue is something I’ll never forget, and knowing I was on a stage where other amazing musicians had been was pretty cool.

Cool, well done you. The best I managed was when I did a NZ ocean swim the other year. My mate was chosen as the Sky TV coverage human interest story and as I showed up to support him and swim with him on the day they interviewed me too. Excellent, if i’d known in advance i’d have brushed my hair and not slept in the car on the way to the event. Always best to be on the telly looking your best!
