It’s not Pippa’s REAL birthday, but we adopted her one year ago today! Pippa is the first dog I’ve ever had who is really MINE. Or should I say — I am HERS!! We are truly besties. She loves Kevin, but she’ll blow right past him to find her mama. Even if that means barging into the bathroom (one of the 2 doors in the house she knows how to body slam through).
Pippa’s favorite place to be is in bed. Just like me!!!!!
Although my limbs don’t quite fold like that!
But the minute I get out some running shoes…. she goes b-a-n-a-n-a-s!! She hates how long it takes me to get ready!
She also like to wear pink like her mama. Good thing they don’t make Lululemon for dogs…
What a sweet girl.
Pippa is not amused by putting things on her head, unfortunately. So no birthday hat! Instead she got a bone, and she has been ripping that thing to shreds!! She destroys toys and dog beds very quickly — I have no idea why we didn’t buy her any bones sooner??? Duhhh… I actually wasn’t sure if she’d like it because she’s not crazy about the kongs with peanut butter. She won’t work at it to get it out because she doesn’t want to get her paws messy!
Thanks, Pippa C. for hanging with me this year. Being patient with me when I was gone a lot for my teaching job. Playing with me. Consoling me. Kissing my nose. Running with me. Barking like a maniac every time the smoke detector goes off. Being annoyed with Boyd with me. Not eating my socks. I love my baby Pippa.
Yeah, I know. She’s not a person. Maybe I’m a little crazy, but we’re joined at the hip and we like it that way..
Have a great weekend!!!!! Curious about Boyd’s birthday? His father claims it’s in July, but he never committed to a date. Poor Boykin. He got some pb dog cookies too.
What was your first pet? I also had some very hardy goldfish in college. They just weren’t as cuddly as Pippa C.
