I spent some quality time sewing pretty with Hello Kitty this afternoon. Pippa had been banished to her crate in the garage for nap time after a debacle involving the smoke detector. Also, the house was really smoky and it makes poor, delicate Pippa sneeze so I figured she’d be more relaxed out there. That means I was spending some quality time with Boyd Bear!!!
It all started when I dropped some thread, and naturally, it clung to that little furball. It was then I realized that I could just pile stuff on him, and he wouldn’t even move. It was afternoon naptime, and he was basking the sun. He probably wouldn’t have even moved for a piece of bacon at that point.
He’s such a sleepy bear!! Haha. He was a pretty good boy, but he has a bad habit of running underneath both my sewing machine and the ironing board. Another good reason not to have both dogs on the loose while I’m sewing!!
YAY!! I heard what was on the board today ahead of time, and I was so excited to do Nancy! I even put in my contacts for the running portion. That’s huge. There’s not much that will force me to put my contacts in. Basically Costa Rica or the CrossFit Open. :)
I wasn’t sure what I could do so at first I was thinking, okay, definitely sub-20. But I was feeling pretty good in the warm-up, and the overhead squats seemed a lot easier than last time I tried them (I think I was super sore that day). We had a good class today @ 11:45, and someone else was actually running pretty fast. A lot of people in my regular classes really hate running…. so I was able to pace off him a little bit. After my first round, I revised my goal to less than 3 minutes per round. Honestly, the oh squats ended up being the easy part, and I finished in 14:10. Fun!! I love wods with running.
And then some gummy bears from Sprouts happened because they are the best. Mmmmm… sugar dust!
I’m off to read another super important book
What’s the last candy you ate? I guess I’m on a roll with candy and ice cream. Now’s probably not a great time to mention that I’m thinking about doing the 21 Day Sugar Detox. Has anyone tried it? It’s always mostly the weekends the give me fits, but it’s only 3 weekend commitment…. so it seems manageable.
P.S. The Nancy graphic is from this cool (free to print) Meet the Girls infographic poster!
